কম্পিউটারে বসে যে সমস্ত কাজ করা হয় এগুলি হার্ডওয়্যারের যে অংশের মাধ্যমে সম্পাদন হয়ে থাকে তাহাকে System Unit বলে। ইহাই মুল কম্পিউটার।একটি ক্যাবিনেট বা ক্যাসিং এ সিষ্টেম ইউনিট এর সমস্ত যন্ত্রাংশ গুলি সাজানো থাকে।

সিষ্টেশ ইউনিট কে তিন ভাগে ভাগ করা হয়েছে যেমনঃ
1) Control Unit.
2) Arithmetic Logic Unit
3) Memory.

সিষ্টেম ইউনিট এর যে অংশে সকল প্রকার বৈদ্যূতি সংকেত নিয়ন্ত্রিত হয়ে থাকে তাহাকে Control Unit ইউনিট বলে। এ ইউনিট এর প্রধান কাজ হচ্ছে বৈদ্যূতিক সংকেত গুলোকে নিয়ন্ত্রণ করা। এবং সিষ্টেম ইউনিট এর প্রত্যেকটি যন্ত্রাংশে সঠিক ভাবে বিদ্যুৎ সরবরাহ করা।
