Nobel Peace Prize 1971 - Muhammad Yunus

Muhammad Yunus co-founded the Grameen Bank in 1983 to provide microfinance loans to impoverished individuals, particularly women, without requiring collateral. His work in developing the concept of microcredit earned him the Nobel Peace Prize in 2006 for his efforts to create economic and social development from below.
