Syed Shamsul Haque was a Bangladeshi poet, writer, and playwright. He was awarded the Ekushey Padak in 2000 for his significant contributions to Bengali literature. Known as 'Sarbojonin Kobi' (the all-rounder poet), he excelled in various forms of literature including poetry, short stories, novels, plays, and essays. His notable works include the novel 'Nishiddho Loban' and the play 'Payer Awaj Pawa Jay'.
