Earthquake
Bangladesh is a land of natural calamities. Earthquake is one of them. Earthquake is a sudden but violent shaking of earth surface. It causes a great disaster. It causes widespread destruction of houses and properties. It takes a huge toll of lives including human beings and animals. The occurrence of earthquake cannot be stopped. But some prior preparations can minimize the loses to a great extent. During an earthquake, we should switch off our electricity and gas connections. We should not get panicked. We should stay low and avoid rushing for the exit. After an earthquake, we should check fire, electricity and gas connection. We should listen to radio for important information and instruction. In short, we should raise awareness among people about what to do during and after an earthquake.
