People's Primary Insurance (PPI), also known as Banglar Shasthya Bima Kormayon (BSK), is a government-backed health insurance scheme launched in 2013 to provide affordable healthcare access to the poor and vulnerable populations in Bangladesh. Administered by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, PPI covers essential medical expenses for registered beneficiaries, reducing financial burdens during illness. It is a flagship initiative under the Health, Population and Nutrition Sector Program (HPNSP).
